Cyclohexanone, an organic compound with the chemical formula C6H10O, is a saturated cyclic ketone with the carbonyl carbon atom included in the six-membered ring. It is a colorless, transparent liquid with an earthy odor, and a minty taste when it contains traces of phenol. Impurity is light yellow, with the storage time to generate impurities and color, water white to gray-yellow, with a strong pungent odor.
