Triethylamine, an organic compound with chemical formula C6H15N, is a colorless oily liquid, slightly soluble in water, soluble in most organic solvents such as ethanol, ether, acetone, etc. It is mainly used as a solvent, polymerization blocking agent, preservative, and also used in synthetic dyes.
