Potassium carbonate is an inorganic substance with the chemical formula K2CO3.Molecular weight is 138.206. It is a white crystalline powder with density 2.428g/cm3.Melting point 891℃. Soluble in water, aqueous solution is alkaline, insoluble in ethanol, acetone and ether. Strong hygroscopicity, can absorb carbon dioxide and water when exposed to air, transformed into potassium bicarbonate, should be sealed and packed.
